I'm torn between the Large and XL. I am consistent with sizing matching up to Giles on my deck jacket and all my uhf. This says he's a large but the chest measurement scares me. 21.5" chest shirts work for me but are tight so I keep thinking I should do the XL. But I also don't want the vest big and sloppy. Suggestions?

Just recently got one of these this past week. After thinking it over and talking with Alex, I went with an XL, and I wear a XXL in the IHSH-126-PB. I did not want a sloppy fit, and am glad I went with the XL.

I also don't really button it shut much so far. It's a cool vest.

I also sized down on the vest. Typically wearing XL in IH shirts I went for L in this vest. Still I can wear it comfortably over any shirt - including UHFs.

Good choice, you should like it. Even though I sized down I can still fit fairly large hoodies under mine as well.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm an XL in most IH Shirts, L in some with larger sizing. I Need a chest of 22". I got the vest in XL and it fits perfectly over a thick hoodie. So L might work as well if I wore it unbuttoned, but XL doesn't look too big IMO.

@maxpower any pics of it buttoned up on you? I saw the pics you posted with it on and I'm about the same chest size so now I'm questioning getting the XL again because I want to button it
