Fall/Winter 2016 Pipeline
-
It is not a 2016 release.
It is cotton satin like the last release, but we have bonded a film on the reverse of the fabric which is (expected to be) waterproof, breathable and washable. Haraki is going "test drive" the jacket for a few months to confirm the viability of the concept.
If it is successful, then we will release the updated spec M65 next year.
If that is not exciting enough on it's own, if it does work, we can apply the concept to denim and create waterproof, breathable, washable denim garments…..

Yenim will be ready in about a week. We had massive problems weaving the denim, whatever the exact issue was I do not yet know, but whatever it was, caused the loom to stop. When a loom stops and has to be restarted, you get 1/2 an inch or so of bad fabric where the loom is getting back up to operating speed. This means that cutting the parts out of the denim to make the jeans is a complete and utter nightmare. Result is that we have only got about half the jeans that we wanted…
Vintage 18oz will be end of Jan.

- I think so
- I hope not
thanks giles
the only thing that has me hesitating on getting PD the day it's listed is not knowing what to expect considering it's using a new material for the weft… like will it stretch/shrink differently? will the paper weft pick up more or less indigo during a wash? i'd love to just find out for myself, but for $450 (hopefully not more!) im not as sure.
