Retiring my first pair. The crotch is ripping through in 3 or 4 places and there is nothing really solid there to stitch to at all. Maybe I'll have them repaired one day if anyone would be up for the challenge.

I'd ask Giles if the IH crew in Japan can repair it….

I'm about a month in on my 634SR and gave them their second soak last night. Initially I only gave them a short hot soak but after joining here and reading the boss' advice on these geans (overnite soak, machine wash) I was a little worried they needed some more soaking to prevent damaging the denim.

So last nite hot soak, drain, cool soak, drain, hang dry overnite, put them on with damp seams this morning, shrunk down to a nice snug fit again. Damn I forgot how nearly impossible it was to button these things the first time - not because the waist is too small but the damn button holes. In for pain today.

Curious, I feel like mine fit pretty well everywhere but the front pocket openings are damn tight. I can barely get my hands in. Anyone else experience this?

wash the sr in the bathtube with mild soap!!!ONLY

My pockets are tight as well.. just keep using them (..or trying to use them). They will loosen up to a certain degree.

just to put it out there if anyone has a size unworn size33 they think would look better worn than in a closet i will gladly purchase… sadly i slept on the last sz 33 only to wake up to them gone last week...

One of my customers had a problem with his 634SR, so Haraki graciously agreed to overdye them. They were overdyed with the patch still on, this is what happend in the overdying process (we did of course sew a new patch on)….....

Because customer screwed them up by putting them in the washing machine right side out (I think)…...
