Giles is correct that flight tickets are non-refundable, but they can be changed (at a charge) so I am looking into what cost would be for a later flight to Thailand, and maybe we will stay longer in Japan.  Also, the hotel in Bangkok is fully cancellable so we have discussed the possibility of hiring a car and driving to the Gulf of Thailand to stay there for a few nights, it would certainly be great to do some exploring as we have seen quite a lot of Bangkok over the past few years (and hopefully will be back in March).  I am sorry that our plans are fluid at present, I'll confirm once I've examined all our options.

Of course!  We leave for Japan on Sunday 23rd October, arriving AM on Monday 24th October…

Unless we have some business to do in Bangkok, and that depends upon Chnanons availability, we will head for the sea.  We'll have to work, so may as well do it somewhere pleasant - not that Bangkok isn't, but being stuck in the Marrriot is not that appealing….

I arrive 29th Oct afternoon. Plan to visit Pronto shop in the afternoon and going to Chachutak next day . If there a plan for meet up for food, I can join and tag along. ( BTW my first time to Bangkok )

Making me blush, my gorgeous @dylantbmayes and @Snowy - I'm going be jumping on every chance to get back to Japan next year, so hopefully March and May if time and finances allow.

Update on Thailand:  thanks to Marriott Rewards Points, G and I have re-booked to stay in the Marriott at Rayong on the coast (about 2 hours from BKK airport) - as long as we have good internet access we are happy, so we figured we'd make the best of the situation.  Really sorry we won't be in Bangkok, but if anyone fancies coming down to Rayong goes without saying we'd love to see you…
