yesterday i did tried to get the black Jobmaster even if it is .5 smaller for my size, but it keep denying my card payment and when i check  Wesco today its gone on their website, some lucky bastard beat me to it. lol

@Chris at Wesco any advice on sizing vs. other Wesco boots? What is the standard last?  And seems like the wedge sole is a popular choice, I'd love to see some with other soles.

Yeah, mine will see a lot of rain, ice and snow, which is why I went oil-tanned, also because it takes up mink oil well. Do you treat the visible edges of the mid soles with anything?

Question about midsole color??
There is a pair i want for a decent price but they have a black midsole. I dont want all black, i want a natural midsole. Is the black dyed all the way through? Or is just the edge done? Curious if i could sand away the black color

I remember I read somewhere that they're stained/painted on the edges. But whether or not it penetrates or is easy to remove I don't know.

IMO you should grab them as the midsole will darken with wear either way.

Just hate the all black "rubber boot" look. I know it will darken, but id never let it get black

It's just edge dyed, not all the way through.  You should be able to remove the black on the surface.
