Apologize for the double post, but layering makes this fit way better, so I guess this apply's to the thinner people out there…

So Giles did send the 06 over for pics - and damn, that jacket blew my mind.
The Cordura is way sturdier than I expected it to be - the fleece lining makes it super comfy and perfect for the season.

Farmer - with ur kind of work I am sure you could use this jacket - a lot. I was seriously undecided about the whole Cordura thing - but - fit is really nice to wear a hoody or shirt underneath - and the material is extra heavy , and I bike literally every day no matter what the weather is like - and this feels a lot better than Hyvent or Goretex.

Oh - and for sizing - ur normal IH size is perfect, that isn't a jacket to be worn with nothing but a T

Does anybody own the brown one or has some pics to show? :>
I would be very thankful for it!

Cordura is a great compromise material - and I mean that positively - it may not be waterproof (like Goretex) or as elastic as Schoeller but it is very water resistant, breathable and very hard wearing. A great choice for this kind of jacket.

I'm afraid Hyvent wouldn't make my list for any reason tho'

We actually polyeurethene coat the reverse of the Cordura before construction, thus making it super waterproof…..

                            nice one

i should have guessed it would have the IH extra bit in there somewhere

are the joints taped too . . . or was that just going too far?

I don't know Geo, I have not seen a deconstructed one.  Want me to ask Haraki?  G

given the amount of over-speccing that seems to go on with IH it would be interesting, but it's no biggie Giles

been mulling over this jacket, but to be honest PU and taped wouldn't add anything for me. The cordura plenty capable - if I needed really high levels of protection I just wear my mountain gear

                                it's a kick-ass piece regardless, and that's what's hooked me

I was on the Cordura website and wanted to find out which cordura fabric was used on the winter breaker.

After wearing my IHJ-05 with my IHW-02 under it in below freezing temps, I am amazed at how warm I was. Even with just a T under my IHJ-05 I can stand on the roof at night and bare to smoke a cig while the wind is blasting…
What does this all mean??? Well, I am going to try to figure out if I can work my way into getting one of these (IHJ-06) in GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It might take me a while but after feeling the fleece of the IHJ-06 and owning the IHJ-05, these things are complete beasts! Cheers
