injunjack I am of course not proposing a double stitched thickness of the belt you speak of, no, but more the thickness of the belt itself in total.  Im talking about a double stitched belt thickness of a total of 3/4mm max.  But moreso I'm refering to style from the hand stitching running around the inside top and bottom edges of the belt which gives a beatiful hand crafted vintage effect.  🙂

I might be barking up the wrong tree but is this the style of stitching you are on about ?

Kind of, but hand stitched like the wallets.

Again kinda, that has stitching and the double leather.  I propose a more period classic feel and look with squareness to the cut of the leather, I'd say fine coach leather work is a better example of what I am getting at.

Is this the kind of thing? It isn't 2 belts stitched together but it is double the thickness of 'normal' heavy belts like IH and Tanner.

                    It's 7-9mm thick (approx) x 40mm wide and made from ox-hide

They also do pretty much any other type of leather . . . but obviously not in that thickness

Anyways this has gone off the thread topic so let's get back on track

Hmm, like an Aero biker jacket belt doubled up and slightly thicker say 2".  Aero belts are also stitched too, here is an example of something close to what I propose but double the thickness, hope you like the idea, hope this helps give clearer image, buckle is spot on too: http://www.screencast.com/users/simoncathcart/folders/Jing/media/68415a0f-9073-4ed3-84e4-de38280edbd4

I second that idea however I would like it to be a lot more subtle than that model…

Look I can't seem to find new product suggestions, I've looked, but here, I think a Prisoner shirt would ROCK, this company (japanese have made a jacket) but I suggest a denim shirt in prisoner stripes!

                                  OK guys,

its been awhile since i brought this up but here we go…..

what about another run on the IH-1634 ? black, but not superblack in fact perhaps even more gray than black. i love these. i have both the jeans and the riders jacket, but i dont like wearing them because i cant replace them! i need redundancy (and a backup). that is iron heart.  REDUNDANCY AND A BACKUP.

i would really go for a redo on the IH-1634 (maybe a 1634s ?) AND an IH-1526 regular black type III jacket. did i get that nomenclature right?

                                  O RLY?

                                  O SRSLY.

Ah okay now I find this page!  Right how about a prisoners shirt white and black denim wide horizontal stripe?  In the style of a 1950 Levis Denim Family western shirt.  Prisoner, outcast, biker, culture yes?  The only issue i foresee, which you may enjoy, is keeping the white denim in the black and white stripes white.

i dunno if i can ever see IH doing this, but i've been quite obsessed with buckleback/30's styled cuts for the past year. it would be AWESOME to get something like this in 21 oz (so i don't have to waste my money on a pair of LVC 1937s…)

Hey, I have an idea.  It seems to me that one of the simplest yet most effective changes made to the IH shirts in the last year is the more widespread use of black snaps.  It's such a subtle change but really makes a big difference in the overall tone of a shirt.  With this in mind I'd be interested to see the IHSH-21 and 35 produced with a darker colored button and perhaps darker stitching thread.  A blue that matched or was a shade darker than the shirt for the buttons.  And a for the thread maybe the same blue as the buttons or the blue grey used in the IHSH-34.  Sometimes white buttons just feel goofy and, at this point in menswear, a little cliche to me. I think these changes might give these shirts a darker and potentially more menacing tone.
