Ok, everybody seems to size down on IH jeans.

I'm 32W in all other brands and have a pair of IH461 and 802's. based on these I wouldn't size down, and based on experience on 461 I'd size one up.

Question is, if I size 1 up let's say in 634s or 634sr how much will they stretch? My uneducated guess is that not much, and they'd be quite comfortable from the start. (shit I just noticed 33W are sold out in 634sr)

…so it's going to be 634 or something new that is coming out (I have straight 66'ish cut in my
                mind  what I'd like ...probably)

yeah. if they're not tight to begin with i'd say 1/2 inch to an inch of stretch MAX (total waist, not 1/2 waist measurement) if even that.

Granted it's easier to size if you have your true waist size

My 634s have stretched out perfectly.  If you like a slimmer fitting Jean I definitely recommend sizing down 1.  I feel like the end result is usually a little better stretched to your body shape and lifestyle.

My jeans tend to ride lower toward my hips due to a high waist (and not wanting to look like Urkel when wearing them at my waist) and my 634S tagged 34 have stretched to app. 36…

Is there any way to stop the waist stretching?

Buy true to size and wear a belt. You can't stretch your jeans that much further than your waist really is. Most stretching in the waist occurs when you're sitting/bent over when you buy true to size.

You hear about massive amounts of stretching when people size down so they can have a slim fit out of a standard fit jean

i try to explain this to people everyday..they try to size way down because of stretch..but the truth is jeans will only stretch a ton if they are too small for you to begin with…the APC and NUDIE method of "size way down and never wash" is actually really bad for your jeans.

You kind of have to size down with APC. I really hate their denim. If you blow on it it'll stretch. It's fucking ridiculous that I can stretch out a pair of jeans five inches in the waist when I start out true to size. My APC's are the only jeans I've ever sold.

I always get true to size with IH. I've never had a pair stretch more than an inch, and if they didn't stretch that inch I probably wouldn't be able to sit comfortably

If I really want a slim cut jean, I'll just buy a slim cut jean. I have no desire to make my 634SR look like my SEXIH07
