Saw it several times in stores, shops and whatever, online and in real life. Some people think Cordovan is a color that looks like #8 or burgundy. But it´s the butt from a feckin horse 😃

The Domain is a little thinner than our standard oil tanned leathers. It has a softer feel and breaks in a bit easier. We recommend on Oil Tanned leathers to clean with warm water and oil them for treatment. The waxed leather is actually recommended to polish. Customers polish our Oil Tanned as well, but we don't recommend it:)

Tested the Silicone and the Obenaufs LP on my Domain Kilties. Both look great, but the Silicone treated leather feels better after some "abuse".

Got the WESCO Silicone Stuff from V&S, Obenaufs LP from IHUK, but it's more for restoring your leather. If you want something for buffing and a nice shine, you need something different like Lincolns Stain Wax. It's available in different colors. USMC approved.

Hi, guys, thanks for this discussion!

I found this site after going nuts and buying two pair of (non standard) Wescos from their Seconds page. I knew the brand but had very little idea about lasts, options, fitments etc. Here I found tons of useful information.

…and the Iron Heart shirts that look better made than Turnbull & Asser. Nice stuff here for sale, and a great Wesco thread.

Thanks! I'm in a family way big time – 4 pairs inbound. That seconds board is worse than crack. On the plus side, I've replaced all my worn out boots in one go. Er, that is if they fit. D-oh!

The updated Wesco website looks great!
Just getting the funds together to get a pair of the Walking Boots made, should be soon.

Im finally home from the road for a couple days and got to inspect the olive burlap/black tie jobmasters i purchased from Giles during the sale. Man these are impressive. The black tie leather is a really nice hard smooth black with a deep finish that can take a parade gloss shine. The olive looks even better in person and the brown/white/brown stitching just sets it off so well.

One of the things Ive really been happy with on the wescos VS just about every other boot brand is how easy they are to get on. Its as simple as just putting your foot in the boot. No tugging no shoehorns no bullshit you just put your foot in the boot.

Ive really never understood why redwing/whites/danner etc etc felt the need be so stingy with room in the tongue. Its long been a reason why, as someone who has worn workboots on a daily basis since the age of 17, Ive never invested in a quality pair of laceups. Its been redwing pecos pull ons for my entire career. When i get out of bed at 4AM still dead from a 15 hr workday the last thing i want to do is fight a pair of shoes to get them on. Especially if we hit the bar after we got off the night before.

After hearing about the seconds page on the thread (honestly never noticed it before) i decided to take a look and what do you know they had a pair of old stock groundouts in my size for two bills. I happened to be needing a new pair of safety rated footwear so i decided to scoop them up.

A couple of hours later a very nice young woman named Kim called me saying she was from Wesco and informed me that unfortunately the boots had been listed as an E width but were in fact a D. She apologized and offered either a refund or to ship the boots anyway and would make a special note to allow a return if they didnt fit (something they normally do not allow with the seconds boots). I decided to take the boots anyway and mentioned that I had been meaning to call them as the leather footbed in my jobmasters has been bunching up. She explained that sometimes there are unseen fat deposits in the leather that can cause it to be abnormally floppy and that she would include another pair of inserts free of charge with my seconds order.

@Dylansboss#2 I dont know if you have a whole lot of interaction with the customer service staff but Id like to let you guys know that speaking to her was a pleasure and further insured that I will likely remain a wesco customer for life.

Also the new customizer looks great. I think i will have to pick up some of the brogues in the next couple weeks. Can you do that style as a 6" boot?

Uh, oh, I have a pair of the "E" Groundouts incoming. Same deal, $200. I hope they are actually "Es".

Yes of course you can order the 6 inch. I recommend the 7 inch though so it is above your ankle:)

Finally got these - gorgeous.  Custom Robert William wingtips.  Black rough out, blue stitching… very pleased.

I have the same pair! I have been wearing them for a couple months. The white soles get a little dirty, but they look great! Great choice @Bluegrass

Pair #3 inbound.  10" Packers in Burgundy Domain, nickel eyelets, Vibram 430.  I'm pumped!  This will be my tallest pair of lace-up boots, but I'll enjoy the added support.

Burgundy domain has also become my favorite leather, and my Jobmasters are my most comfortable boots.  A couple people have asked if they were Danners ( 😠  😶 ), and I would politely correct them.  Here's their current state.

@Dylansboss#2 , I need to swing by the shop at some point to meet you guys and get fitted for a custom pair!

My first two pair arrived today: Groundouts and Jobmaster with Packer upper and MP toe and heel (custom I gues), both in oily black.

Holy crap these are nice boots. I see what all the fuss is about. They feel made for my feet, especially the Groundouts. The MP toe is interesting. Was expecting a much narrower toe profile, but it's fine. If anything it's a bit longer and even a bit roomier.
