Well if this color debate is over?! Lol
Can someone please point me in the right direction where I can secure a set(two top @5/8" & two bottom @7/8")of custom Solid brass roller buckles? I heard of a master Cobbler located in Japan that has some amazing/well priced pieces. So any information would be great, this gentlemans website is in Japanese 
Or if there are others who make these types of buckles can u please share their contact information? Thanks in advance..Try this. You can treat the Rough-out Burlap as you would our other non-wax leathers. The only thing is, that many have probably seen- the oil and wax to help condition and waterproof will darken the leather. If you are trying to just hide a scrape or a scuff, you may be able to use a metal brush….to comb the leather and see if you can hide the spots. Roughing it up a little more like that tends to help hide scrapes along the way.

@Dylansboss#2 What about those spray finishes that protect suede from water - would that work on rough out without changing the color too much? Would it F' them up?

We don't generally recommend those sprays…..not to say they haven't been used. I stick with our wax that we have made for our leathers, but I can always send a small piece to try it on!

I don't want to try the spray, I will go with the Wesco product if I do anything… maybe I shouldn't be fussy - they ain't church boots.

Thanks for the information.. The gentleman in Japan with the custom brass buckles is whom I'd like to order them from.. Fantastic products he offers. My one question is how do you go about ordering and paying for the items being his whole webpage is in Japanese??! Takeshi (Hukurokuju) will respond in English to inquiries - i think there is a link on the site (bottom of page) for "Contact Us" - and he has brass buckles as well as nickel - at least he did when I got mine. I told him I needed a full set for wesco boss and he asked me "brass or nickel, and flat or shiny finish". I sent him the money via paypal and he sent me the buckles in the mail. Eazy peazy.

The leather on your boots is Burgundy Domain. I am the Sales Manager for Wesco, we don't offer a cordovan burgundy domain. It's a great leather and ages very well.

Here's just another view.. The retailer in the US where the boots were purchased from says it is cordovan domain leather that is custom made for their shop only? So I'm looking forward to what that shoe box says

You can use a conditioner on it, but we recommend a wax for the domain leathers. Lincolns stain wax works great on it!

@Dylansboss#2 Is there a specific reason you guys won't do a steel toe with an armor tread sole??? I tried to order a pair for work this week and was told no way jose!

Thanks for clearing it up my friend. For whatever reason the 4 or 5 pairs of Wesco boots they are selling are all in what they are calling " Codovan Domain" leather?! Burgandy/cordovan domain makes no difference @ all to me. I bought them because of Wesco's reputation and they are(in my humble opinion) some of the most badass engineers I've ever seen. I'll let y'all know how I feel about them today, just got notice they are on the truck to be dropped off today!

@Beerhammer Unfortunately, we cannot make one with that combo. We recently recertified our safety toe boots. We had to test each combination. Seeing that we had to pay for each boot combo, we had to put a limit on it at some point. My apologies for the inconvenience, we just didn't really sell any of the safety toe and #1010 combo's.

Just glad you are stoked on them. They are the Burgundy Domain, and they are beautiful. We were the first to request as well as have the domain made for us from the tannery, I have heard there are other boot makers out there that are looking to carry it ….:)
