@DarrenH If you don't mind me asking, how much was the upcharge for the cordovan domain leather?  I'm just spitballing some ideas for my next pair.

The upcharge for the "Domain" leather is $40

Yes sir… It's not the brown domain I think the picture came out alittle dark. Let me see if I can get the true representation of the color. Do y'all sell the solid brass roller buckles for these boots? The instep buckle being 7/8" I'm finding it impossible to find anything stylish. So if you do carry them I'd like to purchase a set.. If you all don't carry them could u please point me in the right direction to secure a pair?! Thanks in advance

The dealer here in the states that sold me the boots said it was Cordavan Domain leather. If it's Burgandy Domain leather it makes ZERO difference to me, I purchased them cause in my eyes they are some beautiful boots that will stand up to the wear and tear from riding.

@DarrenH yours look brown to me but it's hard to tell.  Anyway they are definitely bust yourself in the mouth gorgeous.  I use mine for riding (and everything else) - along with about a zillion other Wesco men and women.  You sure won't have any issues in that regard…

Well if this color debate is over?! Lol 😉 Can someone please point me in the right direction where I can secure a set(two top @5/8" & two bottom @7/8")of custom Solid brass roller buckles? I heard of a master Cobbler located in Japan that has some amazing/well priced pieces. So any information would be great, this gentlemans website is in Japanese 😔 Or if there are others who make these types of buckles can u please share their contact information? Thanks in advance..

Yes, you are correct. That Logo is something approved some time ago for them exclusively to use:)!

From memory this question has been asked before, @Beerhammer.

This 'old school' logo is actually one used (exclusively?) by Wesco Japan, so that's probably a no for on request.

                                Care to clarify, @Dylansboss#2 🙂

You can treat the Rough-out Burlap as you would our other non-wax leathers. The only thing is, that many have probably seen- the oil and wax to help condition and waterproof will darken the leather. If you are trying to just hide a scrape or a scuff, you may be able to use a metal brush….to comb the leather and see if you can hide the spots. Roughing it up a little more like that tends to help hide scrapes along the way.

They are Burgundy Domain, not cordovan, but great nonetheless!

Try this. His buckles are great.  http://hukurokuju.com/repair/buckle/#  There are other places to get decent buckles as well, but I don't know the details. Like Brass (Tokyo) or Hollywood Trading Company.

@Dylansboss#2 What about those spray finishes that protect suede from water - would that work on rough out without changing the color too much?  Would it F' them up?

I don't want to try the spray, I will go with the Wesco product if I do anything… maybe I shouldn't be fussy - they ain't church boots.
