A few weeks back I had a chance to stop by SEPDX. They had some of the SG 5109/5105. This denim is probably one of the most interesting I've had the privilege to see and looks like it would have some very cool fade potential. Does anyone have a pair with some TLC given to them?
I see some really great progress shots but was wondering is anyone has a pair that have really taken a beating?
Also, for the current owners, how do you like em?

I love 'em. Very interesting denim, loads of character, I've not seen another denim like it. It's a great summer denim because it's a bit lighter and loosely woven so it breathes well. Be aware that they shrink a lot in the width measurements.

A little close for me @chen321 but I'm sure will be an excellent fit. I may need a pair of strike golds, just have to see how the pocketsystem make my a$$ look. . .

I agree with all of this. I only wash cold because of that reason. They do stretch fairly easy tho. Cool denim for sure. Ill try and take some pics of mine tomorrow. Been washed 2-3 times and worn for 5-6mons

Stumbled on a pair of Strike Gold SG009LTD "Deep Indigo" Limited Jeans & I might be sort of in love with the rough denim. holidays are kicking my a$$ so images maybe after boxing day & before old years night . . .
oh I washed & they didn't shrink nearly as much as stated on the size chart -

random monday moment, i saw a pair of The Strike Gold these that should be coming out pretty soon that have some of the most incredible denim I've seen . . . EVER.
just great denim, if i didn't have a new pair i would be all over them.
sorry no idea on name or release date, just know they were in SENY as a sample & if the real product is half as good as the sample they have knocked it out the park

I have to say, I still hate the arcs, but the shape of the back pocket make em not bad. I need to get my red tab reattached & by the time I'm done with these the arcs will be mostly gone anyway. . . . oh the make some dope denim. i don't think you'll be sorry

Every wear pic I've seen, the arcs have come off pretty quickly. Almost like they design them to wear away because they know everyone hates them.

I hate all arcs
but have learned to leave them & appreciate them for what they are.when i was newer to denim i would remove arcs & modify & all kinds of sh!t, it's still a place for that but i'm older & lazier than b4
not arcs but i do like the pbj leaf, think it's a real unique take & chicks always tell me I got something on my a$$ so I tell em take it off, hehehehhehe don't tell my wife

I took the arcs off a couple pairs of 666XHS. I didn't hate the arcs, but I just think the denim speaks for itself. Plus, the Works W is the dopest branding I've seen. It's small, bold - Immediate recognition and it just looks right to me. I like the PBJ leaf for the same reason. That's all you need in my opinion.
I've wised up to not removing the arcs, though. I used to think, "Man, I'm gonna have these jeans forever, so why not!" Now I realize tastes change, mine more than average probably, so better to play it safe and be able to switch it up if inclined.

don't buy these finn, unless you can get them 2nd hand or for a bargain. the new denim the Strike Gold has coming is incredible stuff & feels like you are touching a jackson pollok painting.
