When I was in San Fran a couple of weeks back a lady followed me into a coffee shop to ask where I got my vest.  That hasn't happened to me before, with any item of clothing.  I recently de-patched it, maybe I'd better stick a couple of the IH ones back on to make it easier for admirers…

First time I have see this…..

Photos sent to me by a customer who has just completed 5,000 of riding around the USA.

The discolouration is caused by ultraviolet radiation through extended exposure to the sun.....

…also on a side note, the measurements for the chest seem a bit off on the product page.  The chest measurements are identical for the XL and XXL sizes.

It's the first time I have seen it in the 8 or 9 years we have been making it.  But yes, exposed to enough UV, it'll do this.

@Giles @Shovelhead_Chris This would definitely fix the jacket. http://www.dharmatrading.com/dyes/dharma-fiber-reactive-procion-dyes.html?lnav=dyes.html  Go for the jet black. It's the blackest dye ever. Be careful to do this with old clothes and somewhere where you won't ruin everything with dye!

Get some soda ash and add it after the vest has soaked for an hour in the hot dye. Then soak it for another hour.

My vest did the same thing a while ago, I just never thought of posting as I haven't been around the forums much lately. I also ride a motorcycle pretty much every day though.
