Yeah. Second try. Still don't like it.

Be interesting to try. Do they do a Kriek as well?

BTW, glasses reached Oslo today. Only five sleeps til they're here in the frozen north. [emoji106]

Not my favourite of the flemish sours I've tried. Very dry though.

I love the sour+dry in Gueze, but prefer the sweeter Flemish sours and Oude Bruin. Not that I'm an expert. I've got another bottle or two so I'll see if I develop a taste for it.

Knowing it was going to be a long day at the beach, I set myself up for a marathon beer drinking session.

This is far better than it likely has any right to be. Plus at 4.7% you really can drink them ALL DAY

I missed closing time at my the state licensed monopoly (the only place to get good stuff) and had to resort to the local supermarket (which I hate because they only have shite). But low and behold they had this. You're spot on, lad. It's far tastier than it should be and pretty damn good after lugging rocks about all day in 25 C.

Both the Session IPA and their regular Centennial are great. Had a bunch yesterday. Gonna poor a Mangofeber DIPA in a minute. Might be interesting..

Meh, the Mango DIPA wasn't great. Certainly not interesting. Won't buy again at USD 5..

I have, though it's been several months, perhaps a year.  I liked it, probably should give it another try to refresh my memory.

On an unrelated note, I picked up two bottles of what might be my all time favorite beer- Tart Of Darkness from The Bruery.  Now I'm kicking myself for not getting more.

I know this is like the  3rd time  this summer I've posted this beer, but fekk it.

Summer's raised it's sexy head for one last hurrah. It's 25 C and I'm 150km north of the arctic circle. Kids and wife are out and I have Gueze Tilquin. Shoot me now, because it will probably never get better this. Cheers guys, and thank you Belgium (and Seul).

I'm more of an impy stout kinda guy with women: dark, strong, complex, and preferably smelling of bourbon and vanilla…

This IPA is so much better than the Brett version I had not too long ago... I love wine barrel aged beer so much...

Enjoy the Tilquin, my good man!..

That brewery had me confused for a long time… It still does... Here's why...

                                            • Ommegang is a beer here in Belgium as well
                                            • Ommegang (US) is owned by Moortgat-Duvel (BE)
                                            • Ommegang (US) makes beers with names such as Rare Vos (Flemish) and Goudenhop (Dutch for Golden hop)

Big difference is that Ommegang (BE) is brewed by Haacht, and it sucks, whilst Ommegang (US) makes several brilliant beers...

Oh: and I haven't had a chance to taste any of their beers, but going by memory, the ones that interested me most were Hennepin and Three Philosophers.
