the cardboard effect makes it feel smaller than it actually is.. Once mine softened up, I found I could layer thicker stuff under it. Good luck with the sizing, it's an awesome & timeless piece

Thanks, I think I have the right size..
After a long and painful fitting has been done now…I got the perfect fit with the size XL.
And I was trying to button up this jacket and my fingers are numb after this session 

I do love this jacket, it really is perfect cut!

Thoughts on my fit?  I think this fits fairly good, a bit concerned about anymore shrinkage so I haven't thought about a soak.  I may just wear it till it breaks in then soak.  I am able to layer right now with the 13, would love feedback…(This thing destroyed my fingers haha)

Looks excellent, but it definitely goes one size down even with cold soak, enjoy!!! BTW for quicker break sleep in 'em !!!

Looks good. I haven't soaked mine as it fits perfect as it is. It's got wet in the rain a few times and been fine so not worried.

I'd wear it for a month or so to stretch/loosen it up a bit then soak it in cold water. Seems it can take it @TrickHell

Yeah a cold soak would be good. Mine got it's only soak in the pouring rain. Shouldn't be too hard to get the same in Ireland [emoji6]

Mine fit a lot like yours did and after a few wears I decided I wanted to shrink it a wee bit.  I put mine in hot water for about an hour and it shrunk nicely to how I like it.
