Dunno about best, but GS has awesome GMTs IMO.

Alternatively, how about a World Timer? They were popular a year or so ago.

My favourite has to be the Louis Vuitton Escale Worldtime. But, at nearly $70K, I expect it might be outside of the budget. 😶

The time is displayed on the two numbered, concentric rings. So in the above photo it's 10:10 am.

If you need something more exclusive, then there's a minute repeater version, but that's probably got a "you don't want to know" price tag…

There's also the Escale Time Zone, which is the budget model at around $7000. It's got a steel case and ETA movement, rather than white gold and in-house in its big brothers.

There's a disco Escale Worldtime in the Only Watch auction.

@Graeme you certainly find some bizarre watches 🙂 No idea how you do it time after time.

I think that it basically comes down to me being a bit bored with most watches, and the scene seems to get a bit snobbish.

I like the LV Escale (sorry Giles) because it's different, and maybe not everyone will appreciate it. And, at risk of losing my WIS card, I prefer the Bell & Ross tourbillion (above) to the Patek and Journe because it's got a bit of character and attitude.

Given that as my starting point, you're not going to get a sensible suggestion off me. 😃

How about an Omega or Breitling quartz watch? The B55 Connected hooks up to a smartphone, and has a GMT function. I like the colours, but not the wifi style logo on the dial, and think that it feels like a half-baked version 1.0.

What are people's thoughts on the best GMT model? Still not sold on the Apple Watch….

5 or 6 numbers. 16750 or 116710. simple, classy, timles and value.

but @graeme a explorer isn't really a gmt.  though it's a slightly basic form of a gmt watch, it can't really set the 3rd time zone with it's fixed bezel depending on which method you're using.

I thought a GMT watch was simply one with a second timezone showing. If you need to adjust the hour displayed then the crown lets you make changes, rather than having to rotate the bezel.

@Snowy it is my current daily. it looks a pretty solid watch compared to the 16750, due to it's size and the fonts used to make it appear bigger. the 16750 is the previous version of it, using a non ceremic bezel.

@Graeme well i do understand your point. besides the fact that the explorer was used to tell between AM/PM for people working in caves. i haven't really come across one to know if the orange hand is fully adjustable. if it did, then it'll do a basic job. however the gmt model allows for the setting of 3 different time zones, though i've only manage to figure how to do 2, which explains the need for the rotating bezel when you set the third time zone.

@dylantbmayes well it's not that refined imo, it's more classy overall compared to the 16750, which has a more rugged look.

I gotta disagree, @louisbosco… They took a classic design (which has served them well for 50+ years) and ruined it with a more contemporary look...

Maybe if they branded it as a GMT Master III I wouldn't have a problem.

@dylantbmayes fair point. their classic design of the older 16750 and the 16710 aredesigns that made me fall in love with the gmt master line of watches.  they're classic and timeless.

though i reckon if we go 50years from now, we might think the same of their current line of watches like the 116710 or the 116610 where there are changes from the old classic designs.

@dylantbmayes that is a fine watch. the colors of the bezel is beautiful. but dont get me started on the 116719blro, which is the new pepsi. i appreciate them doing the pepsi on the new gmts but i cannot accept that white gold is being used. firstly, the price pushes it into a more luxurious watch rather than a sport luxury. and white gold is a very soft metal that scratches easily, well at least from my experience with cartier rings.
