Today was our last full day in Tokyo, before flying back to Sydney and it rained on/off all day = no pictures. Will try sneak out before checking out in the morning and see what we find in Shinjuku.

@Anesthetist I love the building too. It's the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Metropolitan_Government_Building)

The full body 3d should be with me in a few weeks. It's 11cm's high. The one above is about 6cm and quite a close scale. Should be interesting to see them both side by side. @Finkster if nothing other than odd, I think they are a nice mark in time, like a photo, but in 3D ::)

I live in a small and sleepy (but lovely) town in Southern Germany - population ca. 125.000 citizens
The megalopolis Tokyo - population more than 30.000.000 !! and beside New York and London probably the epitome for hipness and modernity!

That's awesome Finkster! They are really hard to find in Tokyo still and I'm not aware of many places around the world doing it (I spent a bit of time googling to find a location). They are unique as!

…and we're back in old Sydney Town. Missing Japan muchly. Already. I do have a few shots from our last morning in Tokyo/Shinjuku. Not overly interesting, just walking around the back streets near the hotel area. So real people's houses/area etc. In coming days (once I figure out how I want to do it), I'll post some of the 'stuff' I purchased. I will be posting some cropped versions on instagram of some items...........

@derivative666 it was done in Tokyo. You have to go there (or a place like it) to get the 3d-scan completed, takes about 2 weeks or so to stitch/edit and print. There's a few places doing it throughout the world. The place I went to in Tokyo was a couple who were doing it out of their basement area using 70 SLR's for the composite image.
