Today I picked up the two belts I ordered from Scott at the customs office (greedy bastards
).Both belts are 1,75" wide and made out of harness leather. Because of the width and some other circumstances I could only choose from 4 different buckles and decided to go for brass with a stainless tongue. These you can see in the first two pictures.
After ordering the belts from Scott I decided to get myself some other buckles to switch the brass ones out, to see if I like a stainless buckle better.
Comunicating with Scott was allways pleasant. Sometimes it took him a few days to answer an e-mail, but as far as I know he runs a one man show and has a job besides making belts, so I realy didn't mind.
The belts are great and even more massive then I expected them to be. They will shurely last a lifetime or two. After switching the buckles I gave the tan one a very thin rub down with elephant leather preserver, which darkened the leather a little bit and gave it a more worn in color, which I like very much. Doing my research for these two belts I found a lot of other leather / buckle / with combinations I liked very much, so I might order again from Scott in the near future.

I payed $ 80,00 per belt, which included shipping to germany and is a steal in my opinion.

Scott does beautiful work. Never had Cordovan, I have smelled it before in Nordstrom's men's dress shoe section though…I love it.

Scott is making me another wallet due to the exterior "checking". Never had this happpen to any leather before, even my old leather. So he is building at his cost a new wallet with minor changes as well…top notch service! Can't wait for another 3 weeks or so.

I posed this pic in another thread. I got a doubled up, natural veg-tanned horse hide belt from Scott recently.
After finding this thread I ordered the same horse hide belt. Scott was fast to respond, and even faster to make the belt. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Purchased a custom horsehide glasses case from Scott. Asked him to add a brass trigger snap to it and to have green stitching.
Expressed my concerns that i did not want the case to be too big and he sized it perfectly.
Very pleased with the outcome, especially for the price ($60 shipped to the UK). It is exactly what I wanted.
He was also selling this sample Shell cordovan thin card holder for $45, which I picked up. Pretty good bargain imo.
