Got mine today, and I'm having a real hard time finding any fault to it. The pockets are perfectly aligned, the check pattern matches across the placket, the stitching is OK, the felled seams are fine. I've also compared to IHSH-87, and IHSH-107 and the quality is identical. The back panel doesn't match with the front, but that has been the case for every UHF I've had.

I assume I'm allowed to keep it, yes?  🙂

          That's awesome @FurattoHeddo
Yeah, I'm still a bit confused about the "back not lining up" as I can not find any images of other UHFs with the back and front side seam matching up perfectly. I can understand if the front pockets are severely misaligned or the placket is weird.

The back never lines up on a western because the yoke is cut on the bias on a western shirt.  I never mentioned anything about side seams lining up or not lining up on these.

Haraki and I want these shirts back, so whatever you think is a moot point I am afraid.  They are not as good as we make them, we do not want them in circulation.  We are pulling them all back from retailers and I have even ripped the 102tg that @Axel  was in love with, off his back.

Paula and Matt are processing refunds and return shipping labels.

This is not a pleasant task we are having to undertake, so please just work with us guys.

Been re-examining the stitching on the front placket, and it doesn't entirely run in a straight line… Didn't notice it when wearing the shirt, but it is more noticeable when the shirt is laid down on a flat surface.
What an effin' shame though, the fabric is gorgeous...  😞

A short romance I had with that shirt..  😞

But as much as I love this shirt and as much work as we had with shipping them out to you all as fast as possible (even working throughout the weekend), they just don't deserve to be out there. I must say though, it makes me incredibly proud to be interning at a company with that kind of attitude.

They will be examined, talked about, deconstructed, bits of them appear in a different form and then we'll probably rerun the fabric and rerelease Dec, Jan, Feb.  Timing still TBD.

                                Our latest position on this:

We haven’t made any firm decisions yet, but hoping that the fabric will be remade and the shirt released again, but not yet set in stone and timeframe is likely to be end of 2015 or early 2016. Anyone who bought a shirt this time around will get opportunity to reserve/order first, that’s only fair.

Sorry we can’t give more definite info, but we have several other heavyweight cotton flannels due to be released this autumn, so we need to speak to Haraki-san and work out a sensible plan.

We can assure you, when we have news, it will be published here and we’ll contact all those who ordered and got disappointed.

I picked mine up from the UPS point 2 hours ago. The shirt is a perfect fit and the color and fabric is amazing.  😘

The only imperfection I could make out is that the check pattern does not align perfectly at the side seams, but I do not own another IH Buffalo Ckeck shirt to do any compairs. So I don't know if this is normal or not.

You do ask a lot of me to send it back to you, you know that, don't you?  😞 :-\ Any other company and I would just keep it, but I do respect and like you guys and gals to much not to honor the wish to get these out of circulation. It will be off to the UPS Point and on the way to IH UK tomorrow.

Oh, would you mind me posting the fit pics I took here, or will this be the Voldemort of the IH shirts?

The other buffalo checks also have those sideseams. And I fully agree on all your other points.

Re: overdying. I find it really hard to send that shirt back, not matter wether there are flaws or not (still haven't found any). But if the same shirts were sold without alteration besides overdying them, I think I'd feel preety mad. In that case, I might have bought a "good" shirt, send it back so that it can be resold in a colourway that I didn't want in the first place. And as it wasn't a flaw in the fabric or weave, overdying wouldn't solve the quality problems at all.

I know its been said by quite a few of you guys and i too am quite stunned at the level of care, customer service and the desire and commitment to uphold the integrity and quality of Iron Heart. The whole story of the IHSH-101tg feels like the exact opposite of how i imagine it would be trying to return a high street branded shirt where you would most likely have to fight to; at best get your money back and at worst get a bloody credit note.

I can't think of any other brand that would do this. High street or high end. Take Visvim for example at the high end. Countless problems with the durability of their products and shoddy finishing. Not a chance in hell of them doing something like this.
