This must be a lot of logistic effort, etc. to rectify this all.

      Financial also.

I applaud all @ IH for holding their standards so high and doing the right thing. This is when standards are really seen. So sorry to read, but even prouder to own the IH I do

Any chance of posting the measurements of these shirts? This was my first IH shirt, and I have tried it on for size as suggested either here or in the workshirt thread. As the product page is dead, would be handy to know what the (actual) measurements are,  rather than me measuring them probably inaccurately!
It's going to be pretty hard to part with….

          This could be a collector's item  :P!
It is never good something like this gets out the door.  But it is the action a retailer / brand takes in the aftermath that defines brand.  This is the right decision.

Absolutely love the fabric on this shirt.  So soft, and the color is incredible.  Was super stoked to have found a decent replacement for the blue 06 that I sold away awhile ago.

Bummed to be sending it back, but so much credit to G, H, and the Iron Heart crew.  The steadfast sticking to such high standards of quality is just one of the many things I love about this brand…

@Giles Wasn't this shirt doomed from the start? Wasn't the color different from what you'd envisioned in the first place? Either way, I'm so sorry to hear that you've found yourself in this unenviable position. That sort of decision is never an easy one to make, but you know it's the only decision to make. I remember sitting in the now closed Apple Bar in NYC with you, and you made me take my shirt off to show me the inside. You told me that the finishing is perfect on the inside and that the shirt would look just as good worn inside-out. I'll never forget that, and the level of pride that it showed me about Iron Heart and its products. I know it sucks, but I applaud you for maintaining that level of excellence. I always say, and I firmly believe, that you can't teach people pride.

                  Beautifully said @seawolf

Is this going to be re-released in the same color?

(…If yes, any idea on a timeline?)

                    I'm hoping so!

Thanks for the measurements Giles, will come in handy when deciding what to replace it with!  For what it's worth, i think i had a bad one too.  With mine the panel in the middle of the shirt with the poppers on it (am sure there's a more technical term for it) was wonky and didn't seem straight.  Possibly other issues, but didn't examine much closer than that.
Bit bummed it's going back, but applaud the decision to recall.

A wonky placket it is then. Cheers

Got mine today, and I'm having a real hard time finding any fault to it. The pockets are perfectly aligned, the check pattern matches across the placket, the stitching is OK, the felled seams are fine. I've also compared to IHSH-87, and IHSH-107 and the quality is identical. The back panel doesn't match with the front, but that has been the case for every UHF I've had.

I assume I'm allowed to keep it, yes?  🙂

Yeah, I'm still a bit confused about the "back not lining up" as I can not find any images of other UHFs with the back and front side seam matching up perfectly. I can understand if the front pockets are severely misaligned or the placket is weird.

The back never lines up on a western because the yoke is cut on the bias on a western shirt.  I never mentioned anything about side seams lining up or not lining up on these.

Haraki and I want these shirts back, so whatever you think is a moot point I am afraid.  They are not as good as we make them, we do not want them in circulation.  We are pulling them all back from retailers and I have even ripped the 102tg that @Axel  was in love with, off his back.

Paula and Matt are processing refunds and return shipping labels.

This is not a pleasant task we are having to undertake, so please just work with us guys.

Been re-examining the stitching on the front placket, and it doesn't entirely run in a straight line… Didn't notice it when wearing the shirt, but it is more noticeable when the shirt is laid down on a flat surface.
What an effin' shame though, the fabric is gorgeous...  😞
