Check out the link to see one of the vintage machines that knits THE SOCK. Nylon thread joins the ends of each sock so a continuous tube can be knitted. When they're finished the nylon thread is melted to separate each sock.

How is the sizing on these? I'm a 10 to 10.5UK so don't know whether to go for medium or large.

Got mine today..they look and feel great. Anyone done the wash test on these to see how much they shrink?
I have size 12 UK feet and worried they may not fit after machine washing and drying.

Mine did not shrink.  Remember, these are batch dyed after knitting, that is likely to take out all the shrinkage….

khaki8, the socks shouldn't shrink… Giles is right the dying takes care of that.

They passed the shrink test…..and I just ordered 7 more pair to the 3 that I already have. I have been wearing Smartwool socks but these are better. Wool socks are the bomb...and hard to find.

Home. Socks are dry, feet are warm, and they're so soft… If I had money to blow on socks, I'd get these... Rust orange for the next colour please... Then G can bring me a pair of those next time he needs beer...
