My pair arrived today and I couldn't be happier with the fit.  I'll get some pics up tomorrow after I break em in at the skatepark.  🙂

I wish, my ACL hates me right now.

I'm about to pull the trigger on these.  What's the deal with stretching, about an inch?  Any advice for sizing.  I'm essentially a 33 on most days.

          Any help would be awesome.

And in 6 months, these can break me in at the skatepark.

I divide my time equally between the TTS (true to size) and SDO (size down one) camp.  With these I sized down one.  I haven't measured, but they have stretched in the waist;  I'd say about 1"-1.5", which has made them very comfortable.  No soaks either, which would certainly shrink the denim back close to tagged measurements.

The denim is 'loose weave', which does tend to produce stretch, especially if worn lower than the true waist.  All in all, I'd say go with a tagged 32 or 33 depending on how you prefer the rest of the sizing, i.e. thighs, rises, knee, etc.  You may also want to measure a pair of tour existing jeans, like Giles does with new pairs, and compare measurements.

Also, for skating, there is no better denim.

Sorry to hear that.  I just recently recovered from back to back ankle sprains.  They kept me off the board all summer.  😞

I sized down one.  After one session I had the perfect fit.  One thing though, I sweat like crazy when I skate and the all the salt is super visible once my pants dry.  I'll get some better fit pics up tomorrow.

                  Thanks for all the help.

I just ordered a 32, sized down a bit.  Can't wait.  Did ya'll soak first?

                  Santos, glad you're back riding.

Didn't soak, even though I usually do, sanforized or unsanforized.  The OD dipping gets rid of the shrink and I couldn't wait… 😃

Oh man.  Just got mine a few days ago from Giles.  This is some serious armor.

Iron Heart has a new convert.

They are a little tight, can barely, if at all button the top. Hoping this will stretch.  The rest is awesome.  Serious construction, good fit.

Trying to stretch while doing some physical therapy on my knee.  Probably won't wear these alot with the leg brace.  Don't want some peg leg fading.

                          Sorry for the Iphone pic.

I had knee surgery close to 3 weeks ago.  Skateboarding accident.  Torn ACL and meniscus.

Also, can anyone tell me about these jeans bleeding? Would a soak help?  I don't really want shrinking :-\

As for shrinking: overdyed jeans barely/ don't shrink… But if you can't button up now, you might just have to wear these a bit to get some stretching first...

                                          Hi,
I just happened to buy an IH 634 S-B  :-*(hopefully it arrives this week) and wanted to ask, if there's anything special about soaking/ washing them. I usually wear my raw denim for a very long time before the first wash (1 year+), but wanted to check, if there's any experience with the overdyed colour. Does it get lost if you wash or does it behave like indigo and become lighter with time and washing? Or is it even approbriate to wash it more frequently than other raw denim?

                                          Thanks for advice/experineces!
