I'm looking for a good boot that's versatile for motorcycling and everyday wear. I've considered Wesco and the Lone Wolf engineer boots from History Preservation ($700, so damn expensive!). Any suggestions/feedback!

Thanks Hectic. I checked out the MF boots on Sunday at the store in LA. They are alright but I think the pricetag is a bit steep. I've been thinking about getting the 1000mile boot as an everyday boot, but I think I want something a bit more rugged for motorcycling.

Than I would recommend something along the lines of Kamik or Sorel..
the Aldens work in the city, though- as long as they clean the sidewalks

I've been reading some good things about Wolverines, I really like the look of the 1000 mile originals in cordovan. Hectic, did you get a pair in the end, I can't seem to find a UK retailer?

You know what Beats I was thinking the same thing + I've wanted a pair of SR's from first seeing them. Thing is I'm only going to get one or the other (at least for now), after seeing that 18oz denim, I really need some, I'm not sure what to do  :-\

I'm going to read back through this thread to see if there are any but I'm looking for some brogue boot suggestions.  Something like the Grenson Sharp (which I may go with once I figure out sizing).  Most of the Tricker's I've seen are triple soled which is a bit much for me but I haven't seen them all.  I keep an eye Leather Soul HI but they don't have anything right now and I'm going to search around some more but if anyone has a quick suggestion it'd be appreciated.
