There is nothing planned.  I will sit down with H in November and have a chat…....

I'd be willing to go full-blown 25 oz 'Canadian Tuxedo' if you made a 25 oz shirt/jacket. Or part with more money if you made another color/warp weft combination.

Never say never, but a jacket is highly unlikely to happen.  Jackets are more complicated to make than jeans, I would not even risk the withering look from Haraki by asking.

SE made a jacket out of their 23oz denim, is the 25oz denim really that much more unworkable?  Just curious, I'd pick up a 25oz jacket too possibly for the DT if the sizing was right, although you have already pretty much stated it isn't happening 🙂

Zero interest in my slightly used 31x34 BCJs in the secondary market, so I suppose I will keep them and give them hard but occasional wear, and at some point discover my personal limits as regards sustained compression in the "gentlemen's area".

Again, full marks for quality and fit in every other aspect.

Thanks JCM. That is my hope, that softness and pliability will out.

I have been wearing them all day today (blessed day off work!) and haven't cursed them once, which is a positive sign. They have a custom-like fit elsewhere, so by rights I should be pleased with the compromise.

I have a lifelong affinity for Japanese goods (I was born there). Thus continueth the saga.

My waist (tagsize 32) stretched from 32" to 34", that´s 6,25%, pretty sure the front will stretch too 😉

Sounds like the front will get lots of pressure...

Definitely don't need more room in the waist–wearing a belt so they won't stretch there.

These would make outstanding jeans for very cold weather. There is the thickness, and they're cut for shrinkage, say no more say no more . . .

[EDIT/UPDATE:  After reading about what worked for KrisB (go oversized), I may give that a go with the DWCxUHR pre-order. As these 31x34s fit well in all but one respect, I may go for a 33 or even 34 waist in the DWCxUHR and 36 length, and single-cuff them. After a hot soak or three the 34 waist DWCxUHR would be close enough, and I could just do the belt cinched, 80s-style (yikes).]

@KrisB [EDIT:  The ordering system wouldn't accept any of my credit cards to put down a deposit on the DWCxUHRs (my fault, as I'm an APO-dweller and also non-PayPalian). Would that I could.]

Hey how is everyone i have beatle busters in 34 and they broke in perfectly and are currently my absolute favorite denim. i also have the naked and famous 32 oz denim as well. my question is about sizing with increased weight of denim should i stick with 34 for the xhs?? or go to 33?? the main issue is the N&F are their weird guy cut and i have several other models in lighter weight but with the heavier denim, the size i normally wear is a little on the small size and i have had them over a year and have not streached all that much so they don't get as much wear as i would've liked for 500+$ jeans, and i don't won't that to happen again?

On a separate note i also have joined the preorder for the 21/23oz bb for next years hwdc what is that denim compared to the 25oz? is it a noticeable difference?

I have the UHR (21/23 oz) and the XHS (25 oz) and I like both. The UHR initially feels quite rough but softens up after a while. The XHS is darker and a bit heavier but seems to 'breathe' better, so I guess is less tightly woven. My XHSs are evolving nicely with over 7 months' fairly constant wear. The UHRs have had much less wear so I don't yet know how they will fade. If you don't shorten them, the UHRs I've got (1955, 634 and 666) come up shorter than the 634 and 666 XHSs.

Battled with my 25 oz, won the war!

I have walked many a mile in my new 25 ouncers, and fit in the critical area has improved. There is no new or additional room, but the crotch area has become pliable (as well as electric blue), which helps. Glad I stuck with them.

In other news, picked up a Flat Head western flannel, a photo of which I may post to the appropriate thread.
