What's your favorite Beer?

Oh I had lotsa 2013s before… But since I was able to score the last couple of 2012s (at a reasonable price), I was keeping them to try one every couple of months, to see how the evo was...
I can tell you right now: I'm buying a case of 2014 to cellar it... This beer evolves like none other... It's truly one of Belgium's best beers, and certainly De Dolle Brouwers' flagship!..

Okay, I was a little confused because I thought you had posted the SN several times before.
I read your post incorrectly (read: "never had a bottle of SN before", instead of "never had a bad bottle of SN before").
Sounds like I need to pick up a few next time I'm at the beer market.

I'm going to be trawling beer importers for my own case of Stille Nacht too.

Lagunitas make a great ipa, and Phillips, the brewery jock just posted also make some great ipa's, one of the best breweries for the style in western canada.
I just had a great trip to New York where I was lucky enough to have the founders breakfast stout and porter on tap. Also had dog fish head 90 minute and goose island bourbon county on tap
, and was able to pick up a few nice bottles from top hops in soho, just up the road from seny.I was in toronto last night and had my first foray into cantillon. They had a 2010 Lou pepe, but the two people I was with are not into lambics, and I wasn't about to pay 70 to drink it myself
Will be in portland this week and am looking forward to checking out hair of the dog brewery and trying the pannepooch collab and seeing what interesting things they have in the shop. Hoping for some treats from de molen and Russian river. Stopping in seattle as well and will get to check out stogies and hops as well, the new shop started by the former owner of the classic super deli mart in seattle

I most definitely did, will find some time to snap a few photos for the thread soon. I've been visiting family in Ontario and went down to New York. Flying back into vancouver tomorrow and doing a quick run to portland and seattle before settling down for awhile

Just a few then? Ha!
As you might know, you can only order Westy by phone, and it's pick up only (two crates max)… The bar next to the abbey though, is allowed to sell 6 bottles boxes of Westy blond, 8, and 12... At a mark-up price, but still kinda cheap (3 € for a bottle of XII ain't bad)... Limited to two boxes/ person... So me parents got 4 boxes... I only took one (4 XII and 2 blonds)... Really was after the Extra 8, but at least the cheese is delish!..

Had almost forgotten about this as the last few weeks have been a blur. A very small amount of that delicious beer made its way to canada to help the monks fund rebuilding a wall in their abbey, or something to that effect. My friend Carl waited in front of the lcbo at 7 am back in the summer to get it, and wad kind enough to share one of his last bottles with me. Very tasty stuff and I felt quite lucky to get to sample it

Really fresh and citrusy. First time trying and I'm a fan. Too bad founders doesn't make it's way out west yet, they are really consistent across a big variety of styles
