Not a pocketknife, but I thought I would throw this in here:

I got this for Jody last Christmas. Made in Japan, damascus, pakkawood handle. Between the thin bevel and my belt sharpener, this thing goes through meat/vegetables/bone like a lightsaber. The best part is the handle though. It feels like a well used piece of soap in your hand. No sharp angles at all, just super comfy

Giles, that is a Kershaw Shun knife from the Ken Onion design line. As far as I know, that particular brand has pretty good worldwide distribution. You'll be able to find it when you go to Japan, but you'd probably find it just as easily in higher end kitchen stores in the UK. I know that they are pretty common in nicer kitchen stores out here in the US.

What Ken said. They're pretty common in high end cooking stores, although if you know where to look, you will def pay less on the web than at Williams Sonoma

I would say that one chef's knife handles 80% of what I need to do in the kitchen.

Today I joined the club and became proud owner of UK legal Spyderco UK Penknife in orange. Leaf shape S30v blade and G10 scales.

Nice, the Spyderco UKPK is def a hot model right now

Went to Lowes over the weekend, was really tempted to buy another Sodbuster, but managed to resist the urge. At less than $20, it's hard not to justify having one around at all times (front door to open boxes, kitchen to open packaging/cut cooking twine, car just in case, office for envelopes/bagels). I just put one in each location 🙂

I much prefer the yellow handled ones with the carbon blades over the black handles with stainless blades though

I like those, they are fun to play with. Are they legal to carry where you live?

LOL, I know a lot of people who carry autos and balis illegally as well.

Just ordered a Spyderco Dragonfly G-10 in OD green. Was considering the Benchmark Mini Griptilian as well but it seemed a bit too bulky as pocket carry.

                              AIAN HA-TO!

I bought the Spyderco UKPK lightweight edition a few weeks ago from Handy Niknaks (no affiliation) after spending far too much time on the British Blades forum.  Not bad for just under £47 including postage and legal to carry in the UK.  Now I want a custom made Shing Crafts UK legal EDC but, after discovering IH, it might have to wait until next year!

Check the clip of my Sebenza… Kinda sucks... Bought a replacement clip but now I can't get the screw to come loose... I also have wrecked the inside of the screw so the little wrench has no more grip on it... How can I possibly remove it?..

Dude, get some 2 pack epoxy or chemical metal filler variant.

Set an allen key into the mangled hole and use the epoxy/other motherfucking strong glue to set the allen key.

                                    Wait some time.
