as u can tell from the title,just landed a brand new pair of 301s from fleabay,32w/36l for 150rips,tried em on,,love em straight away,not too tight,plenty of breathing room.Was i tad scared they would be like drainpipes on me,so glad they aint,not used to wearing slim style jeans.Iknow they aint sanforized ,but i soaked em anyway,out on the line at the mo,gonna rotate em with my flathead 3007s(another fine jap denim),big congrats on a top and very informative forum,thats what made me hit the buy it now button,all you ppl out there know yer denim,hats off to you all,now to get em to dry ,

the denim on the 301s is Sanforized. unless you bought them one-wash, your FH 3007 should have been unsanforized when you received it. either way, congrats on your purchase, welcome to the forum, and mods, merge?

Hello all,

I am a proud owner of 301s-07BK over-dyes for close to two months now.
my first IH purchase, and now of course i am hooked like an addict, wanting more.

Now i want to purchase a pair of regular 301s.

my question:
i sized 28 in my 301s-07BK and they fit great after the two weeks of bruising and doing ridiculous stretching to get them in working order, they fit pretty snug on me which is the look i go for.

shall i size 28 or 27 in the 301s then for the same fit?

i ask this only because i know that the 301s-07BK are raw unsanforized and in the over-dyed process lost their shirking.
and i believe the 301s is raw sanforized denim.

will the regular 301s stretch more then then over-dyed version?
or will the two denims act similar regardless of being un/sanforized??

PS.
i read that IH denim sometimes changes yearly on certain pairs?
will the denim quality change on the 301s in new stock update as well, or are they standard?

We changed the denim on the 634S about 5 years ago.  We changed the denim on the 634 and the 461 about 2 years ago.  No other plans to change, but if we do, it'll be an improvement.  G
