I'm in my loose, no-belt phase right now and lemme tell ya…damn it feels good. I never thought I'd return to these boyfriendy-somewhat-baggy W30 jeans but I'm damn glad I didn't give them away. I've grown weary of tighter, or even just fitting jeans right now. (No I haven't gained weight -- I'm just sick of 'em).

On another note, I'm climbing in one day (with Mum and brother-in-law) the tallest
mountain in the lower-48 United States: Mt. Whitney. It's a brutal, 22-mile hike (round trip). Bro-in-law and I've done it once before, this is Mum's 10th time. It takes about 20 hours. We're acclimating this weekend and proceeding on the hike next Tuesday. Currently, I'm on a 2x daily regimen of Diamox meds (for altitude sickness). We're starting at Whitney Portal – going to the Summit and back down.Check this link out :
http://www.timberlinetrails.net/WhitneyMain.htmlWhat I'm wearing:
IHSH-16 black from Giles UK (XS)
American Apparel Ladies Baseball Jersey (L)
IH-1634 straight-cut jeans from SESF (W30)
Sperry Tie-Dyed Topsiders from zappos (6N) -
Hey, Kat– no the only suitable IH pants for this hike would be those paraffin ones which G. should soon be offering. But I don't plan on buying those. This hike is very hardcore. Waterproofing is not optional so I'll be wearing proper hiking pants borrowed from Mum. We are about the same size. I'll sure wear Iron Heart during this trip (5 days) but definitely not on the mountain.

Beats- cool video. But honestly, if I ate breakfasts like that regularly, I'd be morbidly obese. And as people on this forum know, I'm an avid fitness fanatic. I alternate between 1.5 hours of yoga in the morning or running 6 hilly miles 5-6 mornings a week, usually 6, not to mention the tons of walking I do around Oakland & Berkeley. Most days for bfast I'll eat an apple, banana and a cup of coffee. This weekend, yeah…I'll be eating steaks & bagels with cream cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner -- because my body needs it to survive Mt. Whitney-- but not otherwise ! I used to get away with less responsible eating in my younger days (20s) but that shit changed in my 30s.
