Good golly, I wish I had some British tan in my collection!

Boots look great. They blue?
Any particular reason u left in the kiltie but cut the frayed end off?

Any particular reason u left in the kiltie but cut the frayed end off? Thanks. They are black CXL – they do look a little bluish in the pic, but less so in real life. I liked the way the tongue protectors made them fit around the instep, but didn't like the kiltie part so I cut them off with a pair of scissors! I also cut back some of the bellows tongue on each side so that they are now essentially semi-attached as an SD would be. It solved my ankle rubbing problems immediately and made the boots so much more pleasant to wear...

Cheers @davito, as always your style is flawless too!

I owned some Hathorns, sizing is identical.

I was going to sell my Bounty Hunters but have decided to keep them and try to beat them into submission some more, failing that I'll just have them relasted.

@aho: I seem to recall someone owning a pair of Hathorn's…Can anyone comment on sizing vs. the White's line? Wondering if I can get away with the same size... I have a pair of Hathorn Smokejumpers and a pair of White's Farmer/Ranchers. I expected the Hathorns (which I bought later) to be identical wrt sizing but that is only half true. My Hathorn SJ are much roomier (wider, but not longer) than the F/R. For me , it's OK because I got the Hathorn as a winter/bad weather boot. The F/Rs fit wonderfully precise with thin wool socks, whereas the Hathorn SJs need thick Smartwool socks and still have more heel slip than the FRs.
Don't know about the other lasts…

^ Different lasts, are the boots tagged as the same width?
