The denim is really special. Took me some money, time and nerve to get a new pair that fits. Fourth pair since may, but this will be the one I'll gladly wear to pulp.

How do you find the fit varies from the 710's Flo (I'm no expert on Samurai fits). Particularly interested in the top block and lower leg.

Well, the rise is identical, the waist as well, the thigh is slightly wider but compared to the 710 it doesn't taper much (a bit more than the 5000 though).

Just looked up the 710 OG measurements:
W 88cm
FR 29 cm
BR 40 cm
T 32,5 cm
LO 21,5 cm

Post soak fit - they're tight in the waist (would have prefered 36" raw), but I'm sure that'll stretch. They're perfect in all other dimensions IMO.

New Sammy 710 16oz organic cotton is out. BIG has it and Rakuten has a few people. I size up on these and then put them in the dryer. Shrink quite a bit…some of the nicest jeans ever...little bit of Sammy crunchiness and really dark color. Love the 710 fit..

How does the 710 cut compare to the S5000? The 710, in many pictures, look very much like a straight leg jean.

710 has more rise and more tapered below the knee….great fit

True, and the 710 was never the skinny fit that some people claim them to be. Slim straight probably fits better.

Would you say the 634 is a bit fatter/looser? I'd like to get a pair of Samurai, but unsure whether to get the 710 or S5000. I wear all 634 cuts in a 30 preferably. In the overdyed 634S-B, I can fit into a 29 (but still prefer 30, I think - need to try a 29 more).

I sized up in 710 to 38 and put them in the dryer to shrink them. Need to do it twice to get all the shrinkage out. They are still more generous than 634..which I prefer. There is nothing like the Samurai denim. Remember all Samurai is raw and unsanforized.
