Which one?
I'm on the fence about getting something else in addition to the Hexad VI. Possibly the one off US Star, Trench Art I or II, Large Turq or Skull II… decisions, decisions.
Also, I just noticed he changed the options for a lot of the rings. They used to be around $375 for most with a brass base and $500 if you wanted a silver base. Now it's mostly $425 with only a silver base option. Glad the white brass is going away.

Those one offs are tempting and the skull would probably fit me too. I imagine they will go fast because of how cheap they will be. Otherwise, I do like the horseshoe a bit, but to be honest I just about like them all.

Ben like with a lot in life prices are always in the eye of the beholder like with other brands too. Innis Lawrence is a true artisan like others in different branches too. I love supporting his work and passion like i support other manufacturers too by buying something really nice which you can enjoy for a lifetime and pass on further when time has come. Just imho

Obviously I don't feel the same but like all expensive things, it just comes down to what it's worth to you.
The small turquoise rings he sells probably weigh about 25-30g depending on the size. I'm not sure which ring prices you're comparing it to but most of the nice south westerner turq rings I've seen are about $200-300 retail. They usually weigh around 15g and have very little detail or shape.
I don't know what FLT wholesale prices are but I'd assume they're within a normal range for this quality of rings. I'm just guessing but let's assume: $35-45 raw materials, $25hr(quite low) for his time(let's say 2-3hrs), $20 forging fee(no clue how much this costs), and any other operating costs. So you're looking at $100-150 wholesale. Mark that up 2.5-3x and you have your retail price. I'm sure those numbers are off slightly but you get the idea.
Check out the Iron Heart Ring. It's $235 for a pretty basic ring with branding on it. But when you break it down, the price really isn't that crazy.
As far as I know, Innis was a one man shop until quite recently. Now I think he has one other person working with him.
If you look up mass produced silver rings from Jared's or Kay Jewelers, the price of rings are around $200. That's for a mass produced simple ring that weighs about 12g.

For me it's all about the workmanship. I love Starlingear ( and soon to be FLT) because there are details hidden in every angle of my ring and beads. Great stuff.
