I love the look of RC's, but the leather sole would be tough as I ride my MC most days. I'm going to LA at the end of the month and hope to try on a pair to see if it would be worth buying & adding a proper sole to the bottom immediately.

@summ3rhays You could always just get a rubber halfsole glued onto leather sole of the RCs. It wouldn't look as nice as a proper stitched resole but it would save you a could hundred bucks. And then once that wears down you could get a proper resole. If you really want a rubber sole I would say skip the RCs and get a pair of Lofgren engineers instead (you can email him and find out when the brown version will be available again). Also Brian the Bootmaker is going to be making engineer boots through his Role Club brand. They should have a similar vintage look, and I believe will have rubber halfsoles.

Cool, appreciate the info! The Lofgrens look really nice. I may have to try those on at SE when I'm in LA.
