Thanks for the compliments guys, these are essentially the farmers/ranchers. SJ without the 100 vib lug soles are farmers/ranchers. The leather on these are brown smooth leather, worn for 2yrs and just applied a second coat of obenaufs and brushed for the clean look!

Have wanted to pull the trigger on a pair of White's for some time & I have to say thank you for the crazily detailed -to hell with that- encyclopedic knowledge displayed on this thread, one of hundreds of threads in this forum where vast amounts of information can be found. I mean-you know you guys are nuts, right?
Of course I just read hundreds of pages of minutiae on a single topic so I'm quite normal. Anyway thanks again to Megatron bluegrass, Pillowpants Hectic & everyone for helping a FNG grasp an overwhelming amount of material in a short amount of time -Ed -
Happy to do it. Yes I am a bit nuts (I will speak only for myself). I read this whole thread too, before I jumped in. Plus the one on Styleforum. Boots are important and should be treated seriously. My only regret is I spent so many years in the dark wearing inferior boots. Speaking of boots, I buttered these up recently - looking (and feeling) good.

Welp, I just put in an order for my personal grails…Some may be surprised by the simplicity: 8 Inch Black Farmer Ranchers, soft toe, plain toe, brass hardware, single mid, black trim, vibram 700...Essentially 8 inch smoke jumpers without a lug sole!
