And it's smaller sidekick, the BR-o3 B-Rocket. I don't consider them ugly in the least. I think you'd have to see them up close to really view the details and simplicity. I also own two Dogue De Bordeauxs or French Mastiffs, which most think are one the ugliest dogs ever produced. In hindsight, perhaps I do have a taste for things with such repugnant appearances to the point they are considered kinda cool. ;-P

              I'm cool with that!  😉

That thing is so fugly that it's cool.

This might be a really strange observation, but it drives me crazy when I see the lug screw heads not symmetrical on watches like Bell and Ross and Hublot.

They should use an Allen type screw so it's not as obvious. I hate that shit on a watch that expensive. 15K on a Hublot and that's the level of detail they put into it? No thanks.

                              Exactly…....
But yeah, idk, I feel like an expensive watch needs to be held to a higher standard.  I purchased the watch below, but when it arrived and I saw that the minute hand didnt lay perfectly parallel w/ the face (if you can see it angles up toward the tip a  little) ..... I was like " ah hell no" .... I had to return it.... But I do prefer the lug system better, I think there called torx head screws.
Im an architect by trade so maybe that has something to do with it, or I have ocd....

Many watches have an upswept minute hand. I owned that exact same watch and if my memory serves me well it had a similar issue.

The original watch was an interesting piece, but it never quite appealed, except for the watch geekery of having an 8 Hz Chronometer certified movement. The mark two has a ceramic and titanium case, and adds a power reserve. It's very light as a consequence, but I don't know how much of the movement was fitted to this one.

I do rather like it, but I'm not sure how well it'd play in a more dressy situation. OK, I rarely wear suits, but a watch that can do it all would be rather appealing.

I normally wear G Shocks or Seiko Divers at work, but I sneak this one in occasionally. It is the HEUER badged Monoco from 1997. The first limited edition reissue. I like how the dial is less busy and a little more legible than the recent Monacos.

                                    Great watches everyone!

Speaking of Gshocks, my cousin Dave who frequents Tokyo on business picked this gem up for me.
It is the newest Japanese domestic (Japan made too) '5000 solid screw in case back, solar, atomic, and the band is super smooth. Next to the Frogman line, this is one of the finest basic Gshocks that Casio makes!

I really like that GW5000, totally bad ass lifetime watch. I have 2 vintage screwback squares, a 5200 and a gold trimmed 5600, these are my daily workers. I also have a couple of the Frogman, including the solar atomic beast. Gotta love a pile of G's

QP magazine has published an announcement of the new Pinion Revival 1969 watch. It takes its name from the new old stock Valjoux 7734 movement at its heart.

I've seen Giles's Pinion, and like its look. But the 1969 is much sharper.

                                            It'll be £4950 / €5,160 / $6,850 direct from Pinion.
