Bam! I love the smell of new leather. The black oil tan is so nice. I won't be wearing my favorite socks for a while though as I remember my service boots turned my socks black.
I love the brown, but someday I hope to nab RC's and the black is pure badass.

The fit is perfect. I was a little worried about width, but it's damn near perfect. My size 11 service boot fits perfect so I went the same. It's tough to compare as there really isn't anything about the work toe last.

Wish I could contribute something but Im afraid I can only post a picture of the UPS "Sorry we missed you" slip.
Now i'm sitting here trying to decide if I should sign the slip and take a chance with them sitting on my porch all day….or live without them all weekend and catch them on their third delivery attempt when I have the day off monday. I know I have the rest of my life to enjoy em, but the thought of going without all weekend after the pre-order wait just seems like agony!

Boots were left on porch during day, picked up safely at night, and fit great!Well… maybe not "fit great' cause they are a BITCH to take off but... why would i ever take them off?!

boots almost look different colors (one black & the other brown) in your images . . . . must be the lighting or my monitor. -
Keen eye! Yup… One is black and one is brown which leaves two possibilities.
- ironheart quality control has slipped considerably.
- I was so torn between which color that I went to the reckless extreme of purchasing both.
...which one sounds more likely?

I would appreciate any sizing recommendations. I am an 11 in Alden Indy. I am a 10.5 in the Iron Heart x Viberg service boots. The latter boots are perfect with an athletic socks, and tight, but not uncomfortably so with hiking socks. I am selling my 11 Road Champs because of really bad heal slippage even with an insert. Any thoughts on sizing the wild ones would be great.

I actually sold my RC's because of this reason. Are the ankles more 'fitted' in this Viberg last? Do you consider the shaft to be wide or thin?

If it helps. I'm 11.5 Alden Indy, 11 in Viberg service boot (work toe last) and the size 11 wild ones fit me perfectly.
Saving my money for that IHAL cafe racer!
