Looking at the pics this denim seems a lot brighter and 'bluer' than the normal 21oz. Is that the case? I'm either getting
Some 1955 or 634 UHR or the standard 1955 or 634XHS and colour will probably be the decider.

Thanks G. Now it's down to the 634XHS and 1955.

Another question if I may. Not sure what thread is best so keeping it here.

UHR is out due to brightness. I now really want some jeans in the XHS. Unfortunately the tighter leg on the 634XHS (versus the 634S) makes them a no no.

My 634S-GR are pretty much the perfect fit for me and the 634S are good but a little tighter than I would like in the thigh. Based on the measurement guides on the website I reckon sizing down one to a 33 tag pair of 1955s would be good but then I lose out on the XHS.

So, my question, will you be making the 1955 with the XHS material?

You could size up to the 35 to get the 13.5" thigh that you need in the XHS. If you wear a belt, you won't even notice the difference in the waist.

No, but look at the IH-666-XHS, may work for you…..

Thanks seanocono but I already wear a belt with the 34s because I like a loose fit. 35 would be too loose.

And thanks Giles but they're even smaller in the thigh so a no go. Need to sell my (practically unworn) Devils Left Hand 34s at some point because the thigh is too tight. Just can't bring myself to do it cos they are so purdy.

Ah. I see. Seems like we have very similar problems (and measurements). Maybe if we keep buying 1955s, G will be more inclined to run the model in other denims. I would love to see some in the TW 15oz.

It's a deal seanocono. I'll add some 1955s to my collection.

If you're big in the thigh then the 1955 is a great cut. This is based on my extensive research lasting all of two days. 😃

They're a bit more tapered than the 634, and the rise is higher. If you can cope with both of those then you'll get on with them. Mine are very comfortable to wear. There's a fitpic in the IH-1955-UHR thread.

I'd go for the UHRs over the 21oz version, but I'm horribly biased. They'll fade faster, which will get them through the bright blue phase, and it's a more interesting fabric.

The darker the better in my eyes so no UHR. High rise doesn't bother me. Taper is the only bit I'm 'nervous' about. Reckon it'll be good though.

IH-634S-UHR are here.  With a bit of luck, I'll have them live tomorrow…...
