Funny that.  A Belgikan told me to buy it…..

That doesn't mean you'd like it though… I'm glad you're liking my picks so far  🙂

Yeah, you did… Does that say "Big Dick's Olde Ale" though?.. Don't drink it from the bottle if so...

This brew is definitely a case where you can't trust it's rating. Don't know if earlier batches with lower ABV sucked and are bringing the the average down, but I've had this latest run both on tap and from a bottle and love it. 51 IBU mmmmm….

Good news everyone!.. I've decided to cut back on my drinking… My stomache and espcially my liver have been giving me some hassle for a couple of weeks now, and enough is enough!.. Time to tackle the last (and most difficult) pilar of my unhealthy livingstyle... I will, of course, not stop drinking… I am Belgian after all... But, the new idea is to only have either two beers before a workday (or one and two glasses of wine)... This may still sound like a lot to some of you, but cutting back this drastically 4x/ week is a good start...

I will of course drink like a fish on my days off and my holidays  🙂

On the menu for today: STILLE NACHT 2012 and PLEAD THE TH BOURBON BARREL AGED. So: no wine!..  🙂

Good on you Eli! Sounds closer to my levels, except I don't limit abv at all.

Nope: no more limits for me neither… The tons of calories found in the dark ales will be compensated by not drinking wine...  🙂

I don't drink wine, so I wouldn't have had to make the distinction. I drink what I want when I want, but typically only 2-3 at a time, and many times 1. Usually have a few Bourbon belts if I really want to get loose, which isn't often.

Thornbridge Bracia. 50cl. 10%. Good stout. Love the texture of the beer, the head, the colour, but the taste lacks something… But then I'm more of a fan of (bourbon) barrel aged imperial stouts...

I picked up four bottles @$6.99 each. I would suspect you could acquire it for less, but it's a rare bird in these parts.

I had that rochefort the other day, picked up in whitefish Montana for 7.99.  I enjoyed it, really complex flavour.
