Khaki, make sure to post some pics when you get yours. I'm thinking about getting a similar build. Interested to see that new brown leather.

New Highliners. Stock model,  from Boot Werks Fort Lauderdale. Surprisingly comfortable out of the box.  Now I need Boss Boots.

hi guys, sorry for quoting myself here.
Has anyone tried to lower the heel in these boots. The boots themselves are da bomb, love 'em very much, but I can't get used to the heel's height. Thought of removing one lift plus have a thinner rubber heel installed. Would this alter the boot's fit too much?

I see. But these were designed to climb on poles, which I'd guess almost no one here ever does. I need them to walk around. The heels might be just a tad too high. I can walk in them, but don't feel 100% comfortable.

The whole boot has been designed so that everything does it's job in harmony with the other parts.  Change one bit and you're likely to mess with the balance feel of the boot.

First off, I agree with Giles.  Messing around with a tested and proven design is a gamble.

That said, Wesco will replace the heel with a lower version for $35.  A good local shoe repair place can probably do it for about the same price and you won't have to deal with shipping.  A heel change is pretty simple, so go ahead and give it a try.  If you realize it's a mistake, you can easily change it back. 😉

Went to my cobbler, he will replace the rubber part with one half as thick, so the will be lowered about 0.5 cm. He'll charge me 8 Euros for that.

As Chris said before, if it doesn't work, I will put the original thickness rubber back on them and try to get used to the higher heels.

Don't know how to describe… feels like walking down a hill.

OK.  These arrived yesterday.  I bought them as perfect factory seconds.  I recognise them as made for the Japanese market.  They are a little stylised and they will divide opinion.  I love them, Paula hates them (but then again, her brain has been fried)…....

They are amazingly comfortable and walking in them is a dream......

And, don't bother telling me to remove the kiltie.  You will be ignored….

Beautiful! That heel is serious. Looks higher than the heel on my Bosses.

Those are glorious G! I like them overall better than the shape of White's packers.

I have a minor nitpick that wouldn't mean shit to you or anyone else though. For the style and supposed function, there is no real spur shelf on the heel. I'm sure Wesco likely offers one, it's just something I would expect standard on a packer and really surprised me to see missing.

I hate a spur shelf on boots.  I've seriously considered getting every pair of boots I own that have one re-heeled.

Oh, and Paula's brain isn't totally fried; those soles are definitely divisive.
