Also need more than an eyedropper of KBS to be on the market.

For real. I've had exactly one bottle about three years ago and haven't seen it since.

I have one 2011 bottle left. I have since had my twins birth and 10th anniversary, I have no idea what I am saving it up for. I think back on the couple of bottles I used as a marinade and shed a tear.

This.  1000 times.  Aside from the limiting demand being a pain in the butt from my perspective as a consumer, it tends to bring the assholes out of the woodwork and into the store I work at so they can try and buy us out of it.  The week it gets released, we have people following our delivery drivers from store to store trying to get some.

It's a great beer, but I just don't get the hype behind it.  I can think of at least a few other bourbon barrel stouts that are readily produced and taste just as good IMO.

I have been out of the game for a few years, could you recommend some readily available bb stouts?  The only one comparable- then anyway-was goose island bcs.

Dragons Milk by New Holland Brewing is always my go to recommendation.  It's one of their main lines, so it is consistently available wherever they distribute and is a damn good example of the style.

The Goose Island Bourbon County, as you mentioned, is another one that tends to be more widely available in my area.

There are a few more that pop up on draft around me with some frequency that I'm blanking on the names of right now.  I'll post when I remember them though…

I fully back the Dragon's Milk. Arcadia Ales also makes a Shipwreck Porter (bourbon barrel) that is super tasty if your looking for that sort.

Anyone tried this new offering from Stone Brewing Company? It's a double IPA brewed with grapefruit peels. It's tangy as hell, but surprisingly drinkable and tasty.

I wish I would have been on the lookout for that when I was in Montana today. Sounds like something I would enjoy, and stone doesn't generally disappoint. I didn't want to push my luck with the border though as I already had ten delicious beers courtesy of jdl to bring back!

I certainly enjoy Dragon's Milk, but prefer a little more bourbony - GI BCS isn't distributed here.  Any others?  I usually stoop to adding whiskey and vanilla to breakfast stout.

It's not as good as it's name.  Still good though.

British beer for me today!.. 5.2% (but I'm cheating as it's 50cl… Although I'm not drinking it all... Well: probably not...) Lotsa kiwi, lotsa white wine... This is something I could drink all day long on a hot summer day... Grand stuff!..

See if you can find any of the Shipwreck Porter from Arcadia Ales. It's a 12% that is VERY bourbon heavy, almost like a strong cocktail booze wise. It gets pricey for a 12oz bottle, but if over the top bourbon barrel is what you're looking for, I don't think there's a better choice I know of.
