Right at tax return time too.  Torn between this, 633s, and waiting for 666-UHR.  And then there's the indigo/indigo.  And then there's the whole I don't have any quality shirting at all thing.  My wife gets the mail, so I'm going to have to have my next dog tag say

Can anyone comment on how much smaller the hem on these get after a wash? I want them so bad but I really need a slimmer leg 😞

Especially considering the fact that you wear boots and seem to have a skinny waist, I really don't think that the leg opening will look bad…

You're right man, but I really prefer a tight (not necessarily skinny) look, and I have such absurd chicken legs below the knee that I need small hem openings. 8.3 inch on a 31 waist is a bit big; my 666s has shrink down to 7.3. This is a big difference.

I wear 666 (it is the only cut I wear now) with boots all the time.  But to answer your specific question, the square root of feck all…

I was pretty nervous to get the 666XHS due to the wider leg opening. I've got three pairs of 555s and a pair of the 666od, but none of them are quite as wide legged as the XHS.
Buuuttt… once I got my hands on the 666XHS, I haven't let them go. Honestly, I've worn them every day since getting them. I'm sure I'll find a new love at some point but I can safely say the 25oz'ers is the first pair that I thought to myself "This is the last pair of jeans I'll ever buy." Of course,  I know thats far, far from the truth, but it was a nice thought.

A couple months into these and I can't find anything to complain about, aside from everything in my environment turning blue, if that's even a complaint.

Different denim = different fit.  They try to anticipate how the denim will behave and compensate for any variations, but it doesn't always work out.

Ed, I'm sure it fits very differently because if it is 24oz, you have a one-off…..

Both waist are 34…I like the slimmer lower leg on the 30

31 could be the the perfect size.....
