If you want to get bored stiff.

I am constantly on the move, whether on foot or on the boat looking for fish.

There might be a serious market for your "Come to Papa" lures. Think of the possibilities personalizing lures for people.

What I find most amazing is that in a 270 degree panorama there is literally not another human, or human made element as far as the eye can see; amazing.

I fish an area that is about 17 miles by 20 miles.  It is called the Joulters.  It is without doubt, one of the best Bonefishing destinations in the world.  Phillip and 3 of his friends are the only ones who fish it for Bonefish (I did some math with Phillip, if this vast area gets more than 500 man days fishing per year, we'd be surprised).  I have probably fished there 50-60 days and only once seen another boat with a sports fisherman in it.  Yes the locals fish it, but they typically go beyond the reef after snapper, conch and lobster.

It is simply extra ordinary that a place that bills itself as "The Bonefishing Capital of the World" is empty.  This is one of the reasons I love it so much, Phillip and I can fish this place like we own it.  Anywhere we want to fish, we know without a shadow of doubt that there will be no other person there.

Part of the reason for this is that the North of Andros is seriously 3rd world.  This place is only 70 miles or so from Florida but lives in another century.  It is a challenge to stay there and the there is NOTHING to do if you do not fish.

Regarding manmade artifacts that I see out there:

                        2 crashed planes
                        Remains of 2 sea containers
3 channel bouys (that have washed up from somewhere)
2 beached sail boats (both intact and very spooky when they washed up)
Lots of debris along the seaward facing beaches.
3 or 4 sunk fishing boats
A hut on one of the outer islands that offers protection to storm bound local fishermen who can't make it back home…

That's the very best bit about it, it's actually quite freaky at first - but totally wonderful.  I need to go back there to help get my blood pressure down  😉
