Man that's a shame, they were looking great in that last picture as well, lovely colour. It made me add them to my every growing list of stuff I want to buy. Thankfully they're not in stock in my size!

I'm sure this has been covered, but can someone tell me if the these jeans changed in measurements from one production run to another? I'm trying to figure out if one run had a more tapered fit compared to another.

@jdl - how many days do you have on those? I think we are on the same wear schedule - I'm 36 days into my 666-XHS and showing about the same light wear points.

I have wore them all day, every day since the beginning of January (6th I think). I can see change almost daily now as every crease gets more defined. Gonna have some long whiskers down my thigh ::)

There are ofter small variances in size between runs….

My jeans arrived earlier today. I'm stuck at work for another four hours. It's killing me. Must. See. 25oz. Fack.
EDIT: My girlfriend is the best. She showed up with the jeans at my work! So lucky to have a girl who understands my crazy obsessions.

Hey everybody, I've been going through this thread (and others on this website) for a while now and I think I've finally found my dream pair (IH-666-XHS).  I'm waiting for them to be restocked and am 99% ready to pull the trigger on them when they're in.

My natural waist is 30 inches.  90% of the time that I'll be wearing these jeans, I'll have an undershirt tucked into them to prevent drafts of cold air from going up my shirt.  The waist on my best fitting pair of jeans, after tucking an undershirt AND a button down shirt into them, stretches to 30.5 inches.  Giles mentioned in a response during his AMA on Reddit that he has (after a long time) stretched the 25 oz denim 1.5 inches in the waist, which is why I'm thinking about getting tagsize 28 (actual waist 29 inches).  Has anyone else experienced this much stretch with the 25 oz denim?

My other concern is in the thigh measurement.  I clicked on the link of How to Measure Iron Heart and Triple Works Bottoms, and have read this:

"Thigh:  lay the jeans flat ensuring that any rear rise fabric is to the left of the centre seam and measure the TOTAL width (not just to the centre seam) ensuring that the measuring tape is at right angles to the weft (white) yarns (for denim)."

When performing the thigh measurement, should the waistband be pulled so that it sits flat like it does for the waist measurement?  Or should you let the waistband be more relaxed so that the fabric of the front half of the waistband sits lower than the fabric of the rear half of the waistband?  This affects how much rear rise fabric is left of the center seam.  Does that make sense?

I can't wait to be a part of the Iron Heart Army! 😃

As to your 25oz query, how uncomfortable do you want to be? These things are beastly, but after a couple weeks they will loosen up quite a bit. If you can handle the hip bruises and bites to the back of the knee that goes with these, you should be able to handle that size.

I would be more concerned with your thigh measurement than ur waist. Waist will stretch but i find it VERY difficult to stretch the thighs and this denim isnt one u wanna fight with

It doesn't look like the thigh measurements change much (if at all) from the 29w to the 30w. If you can pull off the 30" waist, I would go with the 29, the only real difference seems to be a shorter front rise, more tapered leg from the knee down, and the smaller waist. If you're totally sure that 30" is your true size, I'd try for the 29w size. Im a size 30w in all my IH jeans and got 30 in the XHS, (mine were slightly used) but I still have a hard time with the top two buttons. The insane part of me wishes I'd really challenged myself to buy a smaller size for the more tapered fit, but I like being able to breathe in my jeans.
