Thanks, I also managed to find a pic of one of Giles' boots on another thread, it seems that whether it's "Merlot" or "Burgundy", it's still wine coloured.

winters almost up, and ive really tried to get some wear into these. its almost broken in, but the thread looks so new

Christmas came a bit early this year (or a bit too late…)

Kept them on my feet in the store, took a walk… these are relatively comfy out of the box, but after an hour I definitely noticed I had NEW boots on my feet.
But they're soooooo cool

these are color 8 CXL.
Easily the best boots I had so far. Can't wait to see them aging and develop some nice patina.

Duesseldorf's most reliable source for decent clothing and footwear. Unfortunately a bit on the expensive side  My usual destination when going to the US is Florida, because my soon-to-be wife lives in Ft. Lauderdale. South Florida's sources for clothing I would like are VERY limited. Thank god the in-laws live in Philadelphia, so every once in a while I can go shopping good stuff at much better prices than in Germany.
