Agreed on the 55 fabric being cooler….has more "character" in it to me.

Exactly. And another reason I don't like the new one as much is the white stitching, it's just too much IMHO.

I got myself the IH-55 wabash and am absolutely in love with it but I've not worn it even once. The reason being i'm staying in Singapore and the weather here is way too hot to be wearing them.

Not to mention I've put on considerable amount of weight and the size S wouldn't button up nicely for me.

            Was wondering if anyone's interested.

Does anyone's 55 curl in the back on the hem?  Mine has been doing this lately and it's driving me nuts. I'm thinking about starching it and pressing it, but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or if it's just my shirt.

Mine has done this since the first wash, it doesn't really bother me…

And now that you've pointed it out, it seems that most of my shirts do the same thing. Currently wearing my IHSH-43 - just checked the back - it's curled.

All my IH shirts do it, and I've never understood why. Must be something to do with the machine that hems.

The weird thing is, this is my only IH shirt that curls.

I straighten it out when I hang 'm to dry, which doesn't work, but I don't really care…

It bothers me too sometimes.  Could it be the way we sit? But as snowy pointed out, it could also be the machine (and or tension of the thread) that hems the bottoms.

I've ironed it a couple of times to try and straighten it out, but it never seems to last.  I'd say it bugs me about half the time.

Omega hit the nail  on the head, it is a issue of thread tension. I have had similar issues with curling button plaquards as well as the back on other shirts. Usually if you lightly pull horizontally at the seam, you can actually feel the thread tension.
