Maybe he is referring to #8 burgundy cxl.  I have never heard of or seen a cxl called black cherry being offered by White's.  But burgundy and natural cxl would be a great combination…

        This is burgundy #8 cxl...

Finally received the call from Josh at Bakers on sizing. He said that I should get a size 10 and B on the width. This was surprising to me but I've never had custom boots before. I usually wear a 10D and have running shoes that are 9-1/2E. Anyone have opinions on this. He measured my tracings at 10-7/8" and my ball circumference is just shy of 9-1/2".  I trust his judgement though as this is his job and does it everyday.

I have a question on the the trim though. I would like the 2 rows of stitching. Is that the standard trim?  Can you get that on the close trim?  Sometimes the standard trim looks really wide and sometimes it doesn't. I like the look of the trim here. http://www.bakershoe.com/Product/Detail/custom-semi-dress-by-whites-boots/
It doesn't seem too bulky like it sometimes does. Is that the standard trim?

I think 2 rows is the standard trim

I trust Josh on the sizing. I thought my foot was pretty wide, but he put me in a D width and suggested I could go with a C if I wanted. I went D to be safe.

Sopiarz, I am always a D width, forever, in everything - sneakers, boots, dress shoes.  And I did the White's tracings and it came back a D. And my White's in D width fit perfect.  I don't mean to confuse you but just saying… You might want to re-trace and double check.  And 2 rows is def. standard trim - close trim is 1 row.

I got my boots today after only ~4 weeks - they are beautiful... except 1 problem, I ordered soft toe and they came with celastic. So disappointed, and trying to sort it out.  I called and they said "a manager" would call me right back - but no one ever did - and now they are closed.  So I get to fret about it until they open again tomorrow.

Yeah, I get it, and the boots look fantastic - I am torn - at same time, it's not exactly what I wanted and at $450 I feel like I should say something.  I don't know what to do.  I'm really disappointed…  I've got White's with a soft toe and with the hard toe, and I prefer the former... But these boots are fantastic.

Finally. I'm glad someone with experience admitted their preference of the celastic toe. Soft toe has never made any sense to me.

Same here. Why would you want the toe of ur boots to look caved in after a while?
