Goodyear logo on the bottom, something new. Too bad I had already put down a non-refundable deposit at a different stockist for a similar Cigar Indy but that one is not coming yet, maybe at the end of the year.

Hm, who is SM? Could you tell me the url so I check if they have my size left? Cigar shell Indis are kinda rare, though.

I had to come back to this thread and just say that the Kudu is really growing on me.  At first, I would barely give it a second glance and now I'm drawn to it.  I especially love the fact that it has the 360 degree welt.

I need a little advice.

I am thinking about buying the unlined flex welt chukka, but I wasn't sure about the durability, especially living in Philadelphia with the colder and often snowy winters.

I don't want to spend the money on them if I have to worry about throwing them on during the winter and just wearing them.  Never really had a leather soled shoe that wasn't a dress shoe.

trust me, this isn't gonna keep your feet warm in winter, plus, the sole will be super slippery on wet or icy sidewalks…

I have now officially gone off Alden.

I bought a pair of Indys back in Feb they were seriously substandard (I would not have paid USD100 for them in a garage sale) - Kiya laughed when I took them out of the box.  They were replaced (after a lot of wrangling).  I noticed today that this has happened to the replacement pair which I have worn them no more than a dozen times:

Quite probably the last pair of Aldens I buy.
