Yeah if I don't like a beer, I pour it into the sink… Minus five fucks are given...

Since Julie said I can't buy any more beer until I clear a few out of the fridge, I've been trying to clear some of my accumulated stock.  Here's what I've been drinking for the past few days.

This is a consistent favorite.  I can drink it any day and be happy.

This was really good.  Too bad I didn't pick up a second bottle when I had the chance, because it's long gone now.

Can't believe I haven't tried this before now.  Everyone agrees it's excellent, and everyone is right.

Only ok.  Worth a try, just not much to distinguish it.

Pretty good, but I like their other stuff better.

Slightly disappointing.  A fine beer, but not really much different than, say, the Abt 12

Pretty good.  Very easy to drink, probably because it's only 6.5% abv.  I was hoping for more of a salty flavor, since that's what the label was emphasizing.

Palette is a strange thing, I thought the Berny Christmas Ale was VERY different to the Abt 12.

In fairness, it's been a while since I had my last Abt 12.  I should dig another out of the fridge and drink it tonight, while the memory of the Christmas Ale is still fresh.

I can handle Chris being wrong, but you as well  :o

In all seriousness, I'll drink a bottle of each tonight and as soon as I wake up I'll tell you my thoughts  😃

Gav: notice how neither Chris or I am that won over by St Bernardus Abt 12 for starters… So yeah: if you like the Abt 12, you'll love the X-Mas Bernie as well... And vice versa... They are both TOP QUALITY beers though... That, of course, goes without saying!!!

I actually prefer the Berny to Rocheforte 10 (beer blasphemy).

Nope - I understand. Just like I prefer the Pannepot 2013 over the R10 and the Berny12…
