IH-666L - The Devil's Left Hand

Hi All,

I am very interested in getting a pair of IH denim but a bit unsure about the sizing. I was hoping someone can offer some advice. 

At the moment I am wearing a pair of Nudie Sharp bengts and the measurements after a year of wear and two washes are as follows:

Waist: 17
Front rise: 10.5
Back rise: 15.5
Thigh: 12.5
knee: 9
Hem: 7.5

I really like the jeans except for the rise (bit low when I sit down) and the hem is a bit on the narrow side since they were first washed.

Finding denim with a higher rise is surprisingly difficult! Denim I have been able to get my hands on (APC, Flathead, Rogue Territory, Railcar, Nudie) has all proved to be too low for me when I sit down.

The Ironheart measurements look promising.

Do you think a 34 in IH-666L would fit me post soak? I'm concerned about any shrinkage!

Another option might be TWXB01 in 34 but the wider hem scares me.

The 1955s might be another option for you (size 33 probably, as it stretches). The rise is significantly longer and the hem a bit wider than your nudies. The 666 could be a problem in the thighs (somehow I find them pretty narrow on all releases of the last weeks?).

Thanks. I think the front and back rise might be too big a jump from what I'm used to wearing.

The TWXB01 is interesting, although I might ind the hem a bit wide. Has anyone got a pair?

I find it pretty hard to find a pair of denim.

If you go for a high backrise on a IH jean, the frontrise also will be much higher compared to your Nudies. The  Carhartt I wore before my first IH´s, had the same rise measurements as your Nudie. I could go with a lower backrise but I never get used to a frontrise higher than 10,5. When I got the WT-Busters, I wore them low in the front, but with the high rises they looked like baggy jeans on the back.

nietenhosen's pics just sold me on a pair of these.  I realized last summer that MBB's and Texas weather don't mix so these should be the perfect weight for the majority of the year.

Well, I think I got the last pair - or I was one of the last to get them - in any case they appear to be extinct.  They are in the tub soaking…

Post soak… did not shrink much - just a bit in the waist but should stretch back to original 38".  Very crispy and stiff, but love the fabric so far - we'll see how it breaks in.  The rise is higher than the 666S which is a good thing for me, I like it.  And oboy are these suckers long!  The pair I got was almost 40" - even with the shrinkage I can double cuff these - a first!  I'm impressed.  I now have IH jeans in 14.5, 18, 21 and 23oz.
