    32% I believe.

Made in England, clothed in Japan, fed in America and drunk in Belgium !

Tactical Nuclear Penguin is 32% ABV

The strongest I have at the moment is 'Sink the Bismark' that's 41% ABV. Which Brewdog released in response to a German brewery releasing a stronger beer than the TNP.

There are rumours floating around that a brewery somewhere is trying to create a 60% ABV beer. Not sure which brewery, or how true the rumour is…

      EDIT:

      Mega got there first...

        67%; Snake Venom, from Brewmeister.
        Yikes- 114 proof beer…

EDIT: Oops, I can't do math.  That should be 134 proof.

          Wow!
Anybody got experience tasting these beers?
I would like to buy one… but the fact that you have to drink it all in one go puts me off a little.

As far as the Brewdog stuff goes… I've tried the TNP. When I bought the TNP and the STB, they both came with stoppers... and the TNP doesn't have a best before end date :). It's highly recommended that you treat the stupidly high strength beers as you would a whisky or similar spirit... Sip and savour, rather than swig...

Any insights into the flavour for me Morose?  Does it just taste like super strong beer, or does it have more complex/subtle flavours?

I didn't realise that they could be stoppered. They must not be carbonated, or if so a little.

Well, I'm sorry to say it was over a week ago :(. I was going to crib from the tasting notes that are usually on the label… But there aren't any. I do remember remarking to the bar staff that I felt it was well worth the price I paid for it. Given that a Rugby shirted **** had just been charged almost twice the price to buy from the bar :).

I'd refresh my memory, but I can't bring myself to open the bottle purely for tasting purposes... I may be going to one of the bars tomorrow night, I'll have another taste then...

                Sorry :(.

Let me know if you do end up tasting it again 🙂

I really love Jenlain Ambrée, so I'm gonna go with that when it comes to my favourites. Recently there's been also some pretty good domestic (Finnish) beers from smaller breweries, for example Keisari's "66 American Pale Ale".

Bourbon barrel aged. I think I should have it because Saturday I'm going back to Geers and if I really like it…

How sad is it that I enlarged the picture to try and find out more about it??

It's not. And I'll add a bottle of it to your December care package if ya want…

Just seen the price from the online beer shop that ratebeer links to :(.

EDIT: That would be horribly generous of you :).

                                  It costs 2.45 € here. It's a weird beer. But good!..  😃

Continuing my pillaging of the UK Xmas beers:

It still baffles me how a 5.5% beer can be described as rich and strong… You lot are weird...

The Rye Triple is kicking my ass - I really like it... May be my love for rye bread  😉

Hmm, basically anything above 4% ABV is a "strong" beer… At least in the minds of the vast majority of the brewing industry in the UK.

Hmm here it's different… Anything above 10, sure, but the term "Strong" is usually reserved for 12-13% beers... Under 7-8 is considered relatively light...
