Can anyone help me out here? Do I cut the old stitching away on the one side or just keep it there and stitch over it?

I had this on my old FH wabash as well. I just stitched by going through the denim and the hole, if you get what I mean. Holds perfectly.

Smart guy here, tried to put my knife in my pocket without closing it and this is what I got. Guess I'm lucky I didn't get stabbed haha

Try to repair or leave? Don't think it'll get worse vertically

If you clip your knife to your pocket the same way I do it, you should be grateful to still have two legs!..

sorry no images from the outside. i started to do it & then said maybe i should take a few pics to document it . . .

not pretty but it doesn't bother my undercarriage & should hold until December when I send them in for a rebuild.

again not pretty, but it serves it's purpose

Any recommendations?  I'm going to fix them up myself because I'm stubborn like that, but wondering if there might be any tricks of which I am ignorant.

By the way, only damage from a 65-70 mph motorcycle wreck.  IH is the shit.

i understand stubborn, but you might want to enlist help from a pro . . .

to continue with images here's my self repair:

way too many imagines i'm really sorry, but i couldn't decide on the best representation. i was hoping it would last until December or so doesn't look like it will go another week . . .
